Dear Journal,
I get to pitch my idea at Livernois Corridor Soup this Thursday! It’s kinda like Shark Tank but on a smaller level. The pitch contest happens in neighborhoods all over Detroit. People come and pay $5. That gets you soup, salad, and a vote. Four people present ideas that will benefit the community. At the end of the night, they count votes and the winner goes home with the money so they can do their project. Cool right?
I have an idea that will “change the game” for kids in Detroit. The Livernois Corridor Soup is special because it’s MY neighbor. My idea will help kids ages 8-12.
I can’t believe this is happening. Every day I am getting closer to my dream. I want to be one of the best problem solvers in the world.
Sometimes I’m a little shy. Even though I have had a lot of success solving problems for my friends, family, and community- I still get nervous when I have to speak in front of a crowd. Being a 3rd grade Professional Problem Solver is a lot of work.
I’m inviting my teacher and all my classmates. I hope they come…I need the votes.
