Dear Journal,
In one more day I will be able to show the world my Connect 4 skills. Ok, ok, maybe not the world, but I will be able to show people in Detroit how good I am. On Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 11am-4pm I will host a Game and Coloring Party at Good Cakes and Bakes. My favorite game in the whole wide world is Connect 4.
I have been playing Connect 4 since I was six years old. I could play this game all day, every day. Mommy says it’s a strategy game. They help you with your thinking skills. Mommy says that if I keep playing games like this, it will help me be an even better 3rd-Grade Professional Problem Solver.
Even though Connect 4 is my favorite game, it won’t be the only game at the party. Saturday is going to be a great day. I can’t wait!
Until next time,
Ivylocs

- Consider and adjust their approach when it doesn’t work
WHAT KIDS CAN LEARN FROM PLAYING CONNECT 4
While the game tray has changed a little since you were a kid, the basic elements of Connect 4 remain the same. Try to get four in a row to win while preventing your opponent from getting four in a row. In addition to teaching kids strategy, this game gives kids practice with playing defensively or aggressively.
